Elderly Client Case Worker

We are looking for an Elderly Client Case Worker to join our Private Client Department. Areas of work will include all aspects of private client law, including Court of Protection work, Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection and Probate.

We are happy to consider applications from all candidates who are able to demonstrate the skills necessary to fulfil the role, including any Social Workers or individuals that have experience in working with elderly/vulnerable clients.

This is a full-time role and working hours are 9:00am to 5:15pm.

Applicants should possess the equivalent of GCSE grade A – C in Mathematics and English. Applicants should also be computer literate, possess keyboard skills and have knowledge of Word and Excel.

We are a Lexcel accredited Firm. The successful applicant must, at all times, conduct themselves in accordance with the Lexcel Standard.

The successful candidate must be accurate and they must pay attention to detail and possess good communication skills. You must have the ability to work using your own initiative and work as part of a team. You must have excellent client care skills. Time management is essential and you must possess an ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. You would be expected to run a caseload of predominantly Court of Protection work or private client matters.

The role will include:

• Drafting Applications to the Court of Protection
• Providing assistance to the appointed Deputy
• Providing assistance to elderly/vulnerable individuals
• Preparing Annual Reports
• Preparing Lasting Powers of Attorneys
• Drafting Probate Applications
• Preparing bills
• File management

Salary: £27,000.00 to £37,000.00 per year
