You will provide a comprehensive electoral administration service, including the efficient and timely preparation and updating of the Electoral Register in accordance with statutory deadlines using an electoral software system.

The work can be demanding and has peaks to meet legislative election and registration deadlines, therefore the successful candidate must be self-motivated, enthusiastic and positive. A flexible approach to working hours is also essential, as the role will involve working outside of your normal office hours during an Election delivery period.

The experience you will bring:

You will have significant previous administrative experience together with proven experience of working in customer facing roles. Ideally with a good understanding of electoral processes.

Along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, you will have strong organisational skills, have a high degree of attention to detail and have the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines. Good working knowledge of IT including word and excel and bespoke applications (Electoral Software systems) is required along with a pro-active approach with excellent time management skills.
