Electric Mobility Engineering Director

CONFIDENTIAL — We are conducting a confidential search for an Electric Mobility Engineering Director to lead the electrification strategy and engineering execution for a major automotive or mobility organisation. This is a high-impact, director-level opportunity based in Turin on a hybrid model for a senior engineering leader who will drive the design, development, and industrialisation of electric vehicle platforms, powertrain systems, and charging infrastructure.

In this role, you will own the end-to-end EV engineering roadmap, from concept through to production launch. You will lead the development of electric powertrain architectures including battery systems, power electronics, and electric motors. You will oversee vehicle integration, testing, and validation programmes, manage relationships with Tier 1 suppliers and technology partners, and drive innovation in areas such as solid-state batteries, fast-charging technologies, and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) integration. You will ensure compliance with European homologation requirements, UNECE regulations, and Italian automotive standards.

You will build and scale world-class engineering teams, champion cross-functional collaboration between R&D, manufacturing, and commercial functions, and establish technology governance frameworks. Full P&L accountability for the electric mobility engineering portfolio is integral to this mandate.

Nice to have

• Experience with OEM electric vehicle platform development (BEV/PHEV)
• Track record in solid-state battery or next-gen energy storage R&D
