Electrical & Automation Technician

Education

Technical degree related to automation or electrical fields, or 3+ years of relevant industry experience.

Job Duties

• Wire all aspects of electrical systems, control panels, equipment, and machinery
• Design and install electrical control panels and control systems
• Ensure product quality by testing finished systems and verifying functionality
• Progress toward independently developing PLC and HMI programs from P&IDs and functional descriptions as part of long-term role development

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and P&IDs
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with instrumentation wiring and basic configuration
• Experience with VFD setup, wiring, and programming
• Ability to manage project responsibilities, including sourcing parts, coordinating with vendors, and communicating with customers
• Dependable and able to adhere to company standards

Preferred Skills

• AutoCAD experience
• Basic industrial networking knowledge
• UL 508A familiarity
• Experience with Rockwell Automation software, including Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk View ME/SE

Additional Information

• Travel up to 30–50%
• Valid driver’s license required
• Full-time or part-time

Pay: $62,000.00 - $83,000.00 per year
