The Equipment Development Engineering group (EDE) of Seagate Technology is expanding the team! We welcome aspiring Automation Alchemist Enthusiasts to check out this awesome opportunity! The EDE is a fully integrated equipment development team; we design and develop precision and fully automated assembly equipment and vision inspection machines. The team is made up of a strongly cohesive high performing team of design talents with a diversity of talents specialized in mechanical, embedded systems, electrical, software, and vision disciplines. About the role - you will:

• Assist in electrical design and development for automated manufacturing equipment.
• Update and maintain electrical schematics.
• Work closely with engineers to ensure electrical design accuracy and compliance with engineering standards.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving electrical design issues during prototype builds or testing.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute ideas for improving design quality and manufacturability.

About you:

• Able to effectively work remotely.

Your experience includes:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of electrical circuit design, symbols, and standards.
• Experience with SolidWorks, SolidWorks Electrical, or other CAD tools is advantageous.
• Familiarity with reading and updating electrical schematics (e.g., using AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or equivalent).
• Understanding of sensors, actuators, wiring practices, and electrical components is a plus.
• Hands‑on project or lab experience involving electrical design or prototyping.
• Strong analytical skills and willingness to grow in engineering design methodologies.

Location: Korat, Thailand

Our Korat facility is our largest manufacturing site worldwide. Here, our team produces cloud-based storage equipment, from individual storage components to finished drives.
