Electrical & ELV Engineer

We are hiring Electrical & ELV Engineers to supervise electrical and ELV installation on our building projects and prepare the submittals behind it.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise electrical installation — containment, conduits, wiring, DBs/SMDBs/MDBs, lighting, small power, earthing, lightning protection and LV cables — to approved drawings and specifications.
• Supervise ELV installation: structured cabling, CCTV, access control, intercom, MATV/IPTV, and ELV and BMS containment.
• Prepare load schedules, cable schedules, SLD updates and basic calculations (cable sizing, voltage drop) for submittals and TAQA applications.
• Prepare material submittals, method statements and inspection requests for electrical and ELV works, and follow them through to approval.
• Check installed quantities and support measurement for monthly payment applications.
• Work with draftsmen on shop drawings and mark up site changes for as-built drawings.
• Carry out electrical pre-tests (insulation resistance, continuity, polarity, earth resistance) and ELV tests (cable certification, CCTV and access control checks); support consultant and TAQA inspections.
• Keep site records: daily reports, manpower logs and material receipts.
• Follow site HSE rules; raise and close snags.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–6 years in electrical contracting on building projects, including 2+ years in the UAE.
• Hands-on experience installing ELV systems: structured cabling, CCTV, access control and intercom.
• Working knowledge of the Abu Dhabi Electricity Wiring Regulations and TAQA Distribution requirements.
• Able to read drawings, SLDs, ELV schematics and specifications.
• AutoCAD and MS Office, especially Excel.

Preferred

• ADQCC-approved Electrical Engineer, or ready to sit the ADQCC exam.
• Exposure to ETAP or DIALux.
• Valid UAE driving licence.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
