Electrical & ELV Project Engineer

About the role

Pristine Gateway Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Electrical & ELV Project Engineer to join our engineering team based in Kuala Lumpur City Centre. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the design, planning, and execution of electrical and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems for our diverse portfolio of projects. As an Electrical & ELV Project Engineer, you will be responsible for translating technical requirements into practical solutions, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role is essential to our business operations and offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects across various sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical and ELV systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, CCTV, access control, and data communication systems
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities for electrical and ELV installations
• Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies to assess project requirements and identify potential challenges
• Liaise with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electrical and ELV systems
• Oversee project execution, including supervision of installation works and quality assurance inspections
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
• Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and documentation for clients and regulatory authorities
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations including Malaysian electrical codes and building regulations
• Troubleshoot technical issues and implement corrective measures during project implementation
• Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to procure equipment and materials of required specifications

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent qualification
• Professional registration or eligibility as a Professional Engineer (PE) with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) is highly desirable
• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in electrical and ELV project design and management
• Strong knowledge of electrical system design principles, power distribution, and ELV technologies including fire alarm, CCTV, access control, and structured cabling systems
• Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD, E-Plan, or similar tools
• Comprehensive understanding of Malaysian electrical codes, building regulations, and safety standards
• Experience in project management, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Experience working on commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects in Malaysia is preferred
• Knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM) is advantageous
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
