Electrical & Instrument (E&I) Technician

About the role

The E&I Technician is responsible to perform troubleshooting, repair and Maintenance work on electrical and instrument equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting work on electrical and instruments equipment
• Carry out emergency repair on electrical and instrument equipment when required
• Performed scheduled repair for electrical and instrument equipment
• Perform equipment custodian duties for assigned classes of equipment to include: understand thoroughly the equipment and how its functioning, carry out preventive Maintenance planning, ensure spare parts are available when needed, work with other experts on the equipment, share and train other technicians on knowledge gained, identify, determine, withdraw and verify the recommended spare parts
• Installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting and testing new or existing plant equipment and E&I system if required
• Comply to relevant quality, environment, health and safety management systems requirement established at site

About you

• Certificate or Diploma from University, Polytechnic or any Institute which certified by Malaysia Government
• Preferred Competent AO Charge man certified by Suruhanjaya Tenaga Malaysia
• General knowledge of PCs and common related software
• Fluency, both written and verbal, in English and Malay
• Ability to express ideas effectively in both individual and group situations
• Ability to organize and express ideas clearly in written documents
• Preferred a minimum of 2 years work experience in a manufacturing environment or related process industry
• Maintains high competency, efficiency and commitment on the job
