Electrical Apprentice

We are seeking motivated applicants who are ready to commence a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician apprenticeship with our host employer based in Cairns. This is a great opportunity to start your career, you will be working on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), gaining exposure to modern electrical infrastructure, technology driven systems, and networking components with long-term career development opportunities.

We are looking for someone:

• Has a genuine interest in becoming a qualified electrician
• Is motivated, reliable, and ready to learn
• Has a strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Can follow instructions and work safely
• Has good attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Is comfortable working as part of a team
• Is comfortable working at heights
• Is willing to attend and successfully complete required training
• Has good computer and IT skills
• Has an interest in programming, technology and how systems operate
• Holds, or willing to obtain, a White Card
• Holds a current driver licence
• Has reliable transport to attend work and training
• Is committed to completing their electrical apprenticeship
• Ability to work day and night shifts (penalities apply)

• Willingness to travel to local deports and attend tafe

• Ability to provide two professional references
• Pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing
• Certificate II in Electrotechnology
