What you’ll do

• Assist experienced electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various settings.
• Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively while adhering to all safety protocols on construction sites.
• Gain experience working with low voltage and high voltage systems under the guidance of skilled professionals.
• Conduct tests using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Participate in the installation of electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment according to the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Collaborate with team members on construction projects, ensuring timely completion while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Develop skills in frame carpentry as it relates to electrical installations.

Basic qualifications

• Previous experience or coursework related to electrical work is necessary.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in construction environments.
• Ability to work effectively on a construction site, demonstrating teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience as a residential or commercial electrician is a plus.
• Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage systems.
• Understanding of NEC regulations and safety practices related to electrical work.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.
