Electrical Assembly Technician

The Safety Cabinet Warehouse | Manurewa, Auckland

$26–$30 per hour, depending on experience | Permanent full-time role | Monday to Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

We’re looking for a practical, detail-focused Electrical Assembly Technician to help us keep up with demand for our lithium battery charging cabinets.

Based at our Manurewa workshop, you’ll work alongside our electrician to assemble cabinets using established wiring diagrams and build instructions. If you have experience in panel wiring, switchboard assembly, wiring harnesses or electrical manufacturing, we’d like to hear from you. Experience with DC solar energy systems will be well-regarded.

What you will do

·       Prepare cabinets and components for assembly.

·       Mount electrical components and prepare and label cables.

·       Complete permitted wiring and terminations under the required supervision.

·       Follow drawings, complete build checks and keep accurate production records.

·       Prepare completed cabinets for electrical testing and final approval.

·       Help with component stock, packing and workshop organisation as needed.

What we are looking for

·       Relevant electrical assembly or workshop experience.

·       Confidence reading wiring diagrams and using hand tools.

·       Tidy, accurate workmanship and a strong focus on safety.

·      Forklift licence would be a bonus.

·       Reliability, clear communication and a willingness to learn our products.

·       Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand.

You do not need to be a fully qualified electrician for this supervised assembly role. Electrical duties will be matched to your competence and lawful authorisation, with our electrician providing the required direction and supervision.
