Job Brief

Assist electricians with the restoration of electrical supply and general electrical maintenance

Trade Assistant Responsibilities & Duties

• Install and repair cables
• Perform cable jointing and termination,
• Test, troubleshoot and repair cables
• Dig trenches to lay cables
• Knowledge of electrical systems and cable jointing techniques
• Lift heavy equipment

· Prepare and maintain equipment, tools and materials for use

· Clean site area before and after work execution

• Comply to Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) requirements

· Participate in toolbox talk meetings

· Contribute towards work risk assessments for all work conducted

• Execute general work that may be required from time to time in support of daily maintenance and repair to ensure sound electrical infrastructure.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• N2 or higher in Electrical Engineering

· 6.6kV or above cable jointing certificates

· 1-5 years of experience in cable jointing

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in using specialized tools and equipment

Added Advantage

· Valid Driver’s Licence

Pay: R4 366,88 - R5 706,47 per month
