Electrical BIM Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Electrical BIM Coordinator to lead the electrical modeling, clash detection, and coordination workflows for complex engineering and construction projects. In this role, you will bridge the gap between design teams, contractors, and BIM managers to ensure high-quality, clash-free, and constructible 3D models.

• Develop, coordinate, and review 3D Electrical BIM models (lighting, power, cable trays, low voltage, and single-line integration) using Revit and Navisworks.
• Lead cross-disciplinary spatial coordination and clash detection with Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, and Architectural teams.
• Identify design conflicts, facilitate clash resolution meetings, and track issue resolution through BIM 360 / ACC / BCF platforms.
• Ensure models comply with BIM Execution Plans (BEP), company standards, and project-specific LOD requirements (LOD 300 to LOD 500).
• Conduct model audits to maintain accuracy, parameter completeness, and graphic consistency.
• Extract accurate quantity take-offs (QTO), builderswork/sleeves drawings, and shop drawings directly from the BIM model.
• Assist in creating and managing electrical Revit families, project templates, and shared parameters.
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Electrical Engineers, BIM Modelers, and Site Contractors to resolve constructability issues prior to execution.
• Mentor and guide junior Electrical BIM Modelers on best modeling practices and software workflows.

Qualifications & Skills Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Electrical BIM modeling and coordination for commercial, industrial, residential, or infrastructure projects.
• Expert in Autodesk Revit Electrical and Navisworks Manage.
• Working knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / BIM 360.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and general drafting standards.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, cable tray routing clearances, containment, distribution boards, lighting layouts, single-line diagrams, and relevant building codes/standards (e.g., NEC, IS, or local authorities).
