Electrical BIM Modeler

Switzel International is looking for a skilled Electrical BIM Modeler to join our Doha office. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing high-quality BIM models and shop drawings for major building projects across Qatar and the Middle East.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed Electrical BIM models using Autodesk Revit.
• Prepare shop drawings, installation details, layouts, schedules, and as-built drawings.
• Model electrical systems including:
• Power Distribution
• Lighting
• Small Power
• Fire Alarm
• ELV Systems (CCTV, Access Control, Data, PA, etc.)
• Coordinate with Architecture, Structure, and MEP disciplines to resolve clashes and design issues.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and implement coordination comments.
• Ensure compliance with project BIM standards, BEP, and client requirements.
• Update models based on design revisions, site changes, and engineer mark-ups.
• Support QA/QC reviews before project submissions.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience as an Electrical BIM Modeler.
• Strong proficiency in:
• Autodesk Revit
• Navisworks Manage
• Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC/BIM 360) is an advantage.
• Good understanding of electrical systems and construction drawings.
• Experience producing LOD 300/350/400 models and shop drawings.
• Knowledge of BIM standards and coordination workflows.
• Experience on Qatar or Middle East projects is preferred.
