As we continue expanding across the country, we're looking for an experienced Electrical BIM/VDC Manager to lead our Virtual Design & Construction efforts and help drive project success from preconstruction through completion.

Experience leading BIM/VDC efforts on large-scale electrical construction projects, particularly hyperscale data centers, mission-critical facilities, or industrial projects, is highly preferred.

Position Summary

The Electrical BIM/VDC Manager will oversee all Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) activities across multiple projects. This individual will lead a team of BIM Coordinators and Modelers while collaborating with project management, field operations, engineering, and clients to deliver coordinated, clash-free models that improve productivity and reduce field conflicts.

This position is ideal for someone with extensive electrical construction experience who understands both the technical side of modeling and the practical realities of installation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the company's BIM/VDC department.
• Develop and maintain electrical BIM standards, workflows, and best practices.
• Oversee electrical modeling for commercial, industrial, and hyperscale data center projects.
• Coordinate with General Contractors, design teams, and other trades during BIM coordination meetings.
• Review and approve coordinated models prior to fabrication and installation.
• Support prefabrication initiatives through accurate modeling and spool drawings.
• Mentor and develop BIM Coordinators and VDC personnel.
• Work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure models accurately reflect field installation.
• Identify clashes and constructability issues early in the project lifecycle.
• Manage project BIM schedules and deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with client BIM execution plans and project standards.
• Assist estimating and preconstruction teams with model-based planning when applicable.
• Stay current on emerging VDC technologies and continuously improve department capabilities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of electrical construction experience.
• 5+ years of BIM/VDC leadership experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of commercial, industrial, or data center electrical construction.
• Expert knowledge of:
• Autodesk Revit
• Navisworks Manage
• Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
• AutoCAD
• Experience with point cloud scanning, clash detection, and model coordination.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems including:
• Power distribution
• Lighting
• Fire alarm
• Low voltage systems
• Underground utilities
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hyperscale Data Center experience.
• Experience with prefabrication and modular electrical assemblies.
• Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, and Trimble technologies.
• Experience developing BIM standards and training programs.
