Electrical Contracts Manager

AES Electrical & Compliance Services Ltd is a growing electrical contracting and compliance business, providing electrical installation, remedial works, testing and compliance services to commercial and industrial clients.

We are looking for an experienced Qualified Electrician to join our team as an Electrical Contracts Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrician who wants to use their technical knowledge in a varied role involving estimating, site surveys, managing electrical works, client liaison and problem-solving.

The Role

As an Electrical Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for assessing electrical works, visiting sites, identifying remedial requirements, preparing quotations and helping to manage projects from initial enquiry through to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Attending sites to assess electrical works and identify remedial requirements
• Carrying out site surveys and assessing the scope of electrical works
• Preparing accurate quotations for electrical remedial works and new projects
• Visiting clients and sites to survey and quote for electrical projects
• Reviewing existing electrical installations and identifying necessary works
• Reading and understanding electrical drawings, specifications and project requirements
• Liaising with clients, contractors, engineers and other members of the team
• Coordinating electrical works and ensuring projects are delivered effectively
• Providing clear and accurate pricing for labour, materials and associated works
• Following up quotations and maintaining communication with clients
• Using your electrical knowledge and experience to provide practical and cost-effective solutions
• Ensuring quotations and projects are managed accurately and within agreed timescales
• Supporting the wider team with technical advice and problem-solving

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• Relevant electrical qualifications
• Strong experience within the electrical contracting industry
• Excellent practical knowledge of electrical installations
• Confidence assessing electrical installations and identifying remedial works
• Experience visiting sites and dealing with customers and contractors
• The ability to understand the scope of electrical works and translate this into an accurate quotation
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple quotations, projects and site visits
• Excellent attention to detail
• Confident communication and customer service skills
• The ability to work independently and use your own initiative
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, email and estimating/quoting software
• A professional approach and the ability to build strong working relationships with clients and contractors

Previous experience in an electrical contracts management, estimating or surveying role would be advantageous but is not essential. We would also consider an experienced electrician who is looking to move into a contracts management role and develop their career away from purely installation-based work.
