We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to join a growing facilities maintenance team covering commercial and industrial contracts across the West Midlands

The Electrical Controls Engineer Role:

You will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance and small works tasks while ensuring high standards of safety, compliance, and customer service are maintained at all times.

Key Electrical Controls Engineer duties include:

• Install, maintain and repair electrical control systems, panels and associated equipment
• Diagnose electrical faults and carry out effective fault finding and repairs
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams
• Work with control panels, motors, sensors, relays, contactors and control circuits
• Support planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdowns
• Test, commission and verify electrical systems to ensure safe and reliable operation
• Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical regulations and health and safety requirements
• Complete service reports, maintenance records and other required documentation

Electrical Controls Engineer Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or recognised apprenticeship
• Previous experience as an Electrical Controls Engineer, Controls Electrician or similar
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience with electrical control panels, wiring and control circuits
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
• Relevant electrical qualifications or demonstrable industry experience
• Good understanding of electrical safety standards and safe working practices
