ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis, and development of electrical systems for infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, project requirements, and safety regulations.

This role is critical in delivering successful infrastructure projects—particularly those related to NGCP transmission lines, substations, or grid improvement projects—within budget and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and prepare electrical designs, including single-line diagrams, layouts, and detailed engineering drawings for power systems.
• Perform load calculations, system studies, and technical analysis to ensure optimal and efficient system performance.
• Review and interpret project specifications, ensuring all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Prepare technical specifications, bill of materials (BOM), and cost estimates for project proposals and execution.
• Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure design accuracy and smooth project implementation.
• Provide technical support during project execution, including addressing design-related issues and revisions.
• Conduct design reviews and ensure quality control of all engineering deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations in all design outputs.
• Maintain organized documentation of design files, calculations, and revisions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in electrical design, preferably in power systems, substations, or transmission projects.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality engineering design.
• Relevant certifications or licenses are an advantage.
• Experience with NGCP-related projects is an advantage.
