Electrical Design Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to support aircraft electrical design, testing, certification, and substantiation activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop electrical test plans, checklists, and inspection plans
• Prepare substantiation reports, test plans, and test reports for aircraft cabin safety
• Support small STC/PMA projects related to electrical requirements
• Coordinate supplier technical data and responses to engineering inquiries
• Support airworthiness concerns and coordinate with DERs
• Identify major design changes impacting aircraft electrical systems
• Support certification and regulatory agency activities
• Interface with airline customers during flight testing, test labs, and jig testing
• Prepare technical presentations and project documentation

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related scientific field preferred
• 4–7 years of engineering experience
• Knowledge of aircraft processes and substantiation techniques for Airbus and Boeing aircraft
• Strong MS Office skills
• Familiarity with aircraft mechanical/structural design processes, materials, fabrication methods, and aerospace hardware
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Required Skills

✅ AutoCAD or DraftSight experience

• Aircraft interiors experience
• Design Engineer or Substantiation Engineer experience
• Working knowledge of FAR regulations and aircraft certification
• STC/PMA experience
• DER coordination experience
• Airbus/Boeing aircraft experience
• Aerospace certification and compliance experience

Pay: $75,000.00 per year
