Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

Based in Bangkok, Thailand, you will work closely with Source One's regional engineering and sourcing teams while coordinating with manufacturing partners across China and Southeast Asia. You will manage new product development projects from design verification through production launch, ensuring products meet customer expectations for quality, performance, cost, and delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical home appliances drawings according to customer requirement
• Ensure excellence from conceptual design to production reality by managing end-to-end from product kick-off through mass production
• Conduct DFM reviews and provide technical recommendations during product development
• Review engineering documentation, Bills of Materials (BOMs), product specifications, and manufacturing drawings
• Coordinate project timelines, engineering activities, tooling schedules, testing, production readiness, and customer deliverables
• Act as the primary engineering liaison between customers, suppliers, and internal teams
• Monitor project milestones and proactively identify and resolve technical or manufacturing issues
• Coordinate prototype builds, engineering samples, pilot runs, and production validation
• Support product certification activities, including UL, ETL, CE, and other applicable safety and compliance requirements
• Work closely with suppliers to improve manufacturability, product quality, and production efficiency
• Prepare project reports, engineering change documentation, and lead weekly project review meetings and conference calls with customers and manufacturing partners.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree or above in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 3–5 years of project engineering or product development experience within the home appliance or consumer electronics industry
• Experience managing products such as Air Fryers, Deep Fryers, Coffee Makers, Electric Heaters, Pressure Cookers, Rice Cookers, or other Small Household Appliances
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Good understanding of New Product Development processes from concept through production
• Familiar with product safety certification processes, including UL, ETL, CE, or equivalent international standards
• Knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Willing and able to travel internationally within China and Southeast Asia to support suppliers and customer projects
