Electrical Design Engineer

Location: Viana do Castelo | Department: Engineering & Design

Join a high-end engineering and manufacturing business operating at the forefront of the data centre industry. The company designs and manufactures advanced, factory-built power modules that enable data centres to be delivered faster, more efficiently and to consistently high standards.

I am seeking experienced Electrical Engineers to join an engineering and manufacturing team focused on the design and development of EPODs (power modules).

As an Electrical Engineer , you will play a key role in the design and development of EPOD systems, working closely with engineering, production and quality teams from initial design through to manufacturing, testing and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for EPODs and power modules
• Produce electrical schematics, drawings and technical documentation
• Develop designs for manufacturing and factory assembly
• Work with production and engineering teams to resolve technical issues
• Support testing, commissioning and delivery of EPOD systems
• Maintain project documentation and as-built information
• Contribute to continuous improvement of electrical designs and manufacturing processes
• Ensure compliance with relevant electrical standards, regulations and HSE requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• 3+ years' electrical engineering experience
• Able to work 5-days per week on-site in Viana Do Castelo
• Experience designing electrical systems for industrial or complex engineering applications
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, drawings and documentation
• Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment preferred
• Knowledge of relevant electrical standards and regulations
• Good communication skills in English and Portuguese
• Structured, accurate and collaborative approach

Experience in industrial manufacturing, machinery, marine, energy, power generation, automation, oil & gas or modular construction would be highly relevant.
