Electrical Design Engineer (MEP Building Services) – Surat

Esscons MEP & Engineering Design Services is a Surat-based MEP design consultancy delivering Electrical, ELV, HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Fighting designs for hotels, hospitals, commercial buildings, institutions, residential towers and industrial projects across India.

We are hiring an Electrical Design Engineer with 1–3 years of building-services design experience to prepare Electrical and ELV drawings, calculations and BOQs using AutoCAD and DIALux. You will work directly with our senior engineers on live hospitality, healthcare and commercial projects.

Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹45,000 per month (based on skills and interview)

Location: Adajan, Surat (work from office)

Experience: 1–3 years in MEP / building-services electrical design

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Prepare electrical power and lighting layouts in AutoCAD for residential, commercial, hotel, hospital and institutional buildings
• Carry out lighting design and lux-level calculations in DIALux / Relux
• Prepare electrical load calculations, maximum demand and connected-load sheets
• Draw Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) for LT panels, MCC, DBs and distribution boards
• Size cables, breakers, transformers and DG sets; prepare voltage-drop calculations
• Design earthing and lightning protection systems
• Prepare ELV layouts: Fire Alarm (FAS), CCTV, Access Control, Public Address (PA), Intercom/EPABX, Structured Cabling (LAN/IT)
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates and technical specifications
• Review contractor shop drawings and material submittals
• Coordinate with HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting and architectural teams
• Visit sites for surveys, coordination and inspection when required

MUST-HAVE SKILLS

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
• 1–3 years of experience in MEP / building-services electrical design (consultancy or MEP contractor design team)
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD (2D electrical layouts and SLDs)
• Working knowledge of DIALux or Relux for lighting calculations
• Ability to do load calculations, cable sizing and BOQ preparation
• Basic knowledge of NBC 2016, IS 732, IS 3043 and CEA safety regulations
• MS Excel and Word for calculations, BOQs and reports

GOOD TO HAVE (not mandatory)

• Revit MEP / BIM exposure
• ETAP or short-circuit / protection coordination study exposure
• Experience on hotel, hospital or high-rise projects
• MEP design certification from a recognised training institute
