What they need
- Working knowledge of electrical standards: IS, IEC (e.g., IEC62271, IS 5553), NEMA as applicable
- Understanding of single line diagrams (SLD), power & control circuit design, general arrangement (GA) drawings
- Basic understanding of motor starting methods, switchgear, protection devices (an advantage, not mandatory for freshers)
- Awareness of panel-building practices: clearance & creepage distances, IP ratings, busbar sizing, cable sizing Role & responsibilities
