Electrical Design Engineer

• Develop detailed electrical designs and schematics for mechanical systems and equipment utilising industry-standard CAD software
• Conduct electrical load calculations, power distribution analysis and circuit design to ensure optimal system performance
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers and project teams to integrate electrical components into overall system designs
• Review and validate electrical designs against technical specifications, safety standards and regulatory requirements
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation including design drawings, bills of materials and installation instructions
• Perform electrical simulations and modelling to verify design functionality and identify potential optimisations
• Support the procurement process by specifying electrical components and liaising with suppliers
• Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineering staff
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant electrical safety standards and industry best practices
• Troubleshoot electrical design issues and implement corrective solutions during the development phase
• Must have prior working experience in Singapore

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or equivalent professional qualification

• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in electrical design within a mechanical engineering or industrial environment

• Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, control systems and industrial automation

• Knowledge of relevant electrical safety standards including IEC, ISO and local regulatory requirements

• Excellent technical drawing and documentation skills with attention to detail

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to work on complex multi-disciplinary projects

• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

• Professional Engineer (PE) certification or willingness to pursue professional registration is advantageous

• Experience with PLC programming, motor control and power electronics is desirable
