I'm working with a growing renewable energy and infrastructure business delivering major BESS, Solar PV, Wind and MV/HV Substation projects across the UK.

We're looking for an Electrical Engineer to take ownership of electrical design and power system studies across a portfolio of renewable energy and grid connection projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical designs for BESS, Solar PV, Wind and MV/HV Substation projects
• Produce SLDs, schematics, cable schedules and earthing layouts
• Carry out power system studies, including load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, arc flash and earthing analysis
• Build and maintain network models using DIgSILENT PowerFactory and other power systems software
• Support projects through design, construction, testing and commissioning phases
• Review vendor and subcontractor technical documentation
• Collaborate with project management, civil and multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery

What We're Looking For

✅ 3+ years' experience in Electrical Design Engineering

✅ Experience within Renewable Energy, BESS, Solar, Wind or Substation projects

✅ Knowledge of UK electrical standards and regulations

✅ Experience with DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP, ELEK or similar power systems software

✅ Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable

➕ AutoCAD, EPLAN, PVsyst, PVcase or PV*SOL experience

➕ Grid Connection or Power Systems background

➕ IEng/CEng status or working towards professional registration

Eligibility
