Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

Cossill & Webley is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join the Energy Transformation team, located in Subiaco. The role involves assisting in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for renewable energy projects, and large master planned subdivisional and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for renewable energy projects, and large master planned subdivisional and infrastructure projects.
• Liaise and provide expert advice to the Principal Electrical Engineer, sub-consultants and clients as required.
• Perform technical evaluations and feasibility studies to identify optimal solutions for electrical projects.
• Contribute to the development of electrical designs, specifications, and system layouts.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, to ensure compliance and successful project execution.

About you

• Experience with URD Design for Western Power and Horizon Power Distribution Networks.
• Understanding of EPR/LFI Requirements for Western Power and Horizon Power Distribution Networks.
• Can complete EPR/LFI Soil Testing – Using the WENNER Method.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficient in the use of Microstation and AutoCAD.
• Distribution design and private AS3000 experience.
• Experience in the land development preferable.
