Electrical Design Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Review electrical drawings and guide designers to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare electrical equipment specifications and evaluate suppliers’ proposals.
• Carry out electrical calculations and system studies.
• Review electrical protection settings and ensure system safety.
• Prepare and monitor project drawings and document submissions.
• Check supplier drawings to ensure they meet project requirements.
• Work closely with project teams, other engineers and site personnel to resolve technical issues.
• Support site installation, testing and commissioning activities.
• Ensure electrical designs meet client requirements and relevant standards.
• Attend project meetings, technical discussions and site visits when required.
• Participate in factory testing of electrical equipment.
• Assist with tender preparation and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of electrical design experience in EPC power plant projects.
• Experience with power plants such as combined-cycle, cogeneration, thermal, biomass or RDF plants.
• Good understanding of electrical design standards and requirements.
• Familiar with electrical design software, system studies and Microsoft Office.
• Able to review 3D models and check equipment layouts and cable routing.
