Hourly Rate: €40 - €50 per hour DOE

Job Overview

Dillon Engineering Services is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team delivering complex projects across the semiconductor, data centre and advanced industrial sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity for a design-focused professional to contribute to projects throughout the full project lifecycle, from feasibility studies and detailed design through to construction support, while collaborating with experienced engineers across multiple disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical design tasks and produce construction documentation.
• Design electrical services packages using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, structural, architectural and process disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards and CAD/BIM best practices.
• Provide technical support to Electrical Engineers and assist with the development of design solutions.
• Design and develop electrical systems, including medium and low-voltage power distribution, lighting, grounding, process heating, standby generators and UPS systems.
• Conduct site surveys and design verification activities as required.
• Support multidisciplinary coordination and resolve design-related issues.
• Provide guidance to junior designers on a project basis where required.
• Ensure deliverables are completed accurately and within agreed project deadlines.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3+ years' experience in electrical design within building services, industrial or similar engineering projects.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of electrical building services and power distribution systems.
• Experience producing electrical design drawings and construction documentation.
• Good understanding of multidisciplinary design coordination and BIM environments.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working on semiconductor, data centre or advanced manufacturing projects.
• Familiarity with complex industrial electrical systems and critical power infrastructure.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering environments.
