Electrical Design Engineer (EPC)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead electrical engineering and design activities for mid-size/large projects.
• Perform electrical system studies and calculations using ETAP/SKM.
• Develop/review electrical specifications, design criteria, layouts, and technical documents.
• Design/review substation layouts, physical layouts, motor schematics, cable schedules, and electrical packages.
• Specify electrical equipment and materials based on project requirements.
• Review vendor drawings/documents and resolve technical discrepancies.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
• Support project planning, scheduling, cost estimation, change management, and quality activities.
• Apply cost-effective engineering solutions and support procurement and subcontracting activities.
• Provide technical guidance, supervise design activities, and resolve complex engineering issues.
• Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, project specifications, and safety requirements.

Requirements:

• 8 to 15 years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering / Electrical Design.
• Strong knowledge of electrical system design and engineering.
• Hands-on experience with ETAP or SKM.
• Experience in electrical system studies and calculations.
• Knowledge of electrical equipment specification and selection.
• Experience with substation layouts and physical layouts.
• Strong understanding of motor schematics and cable schedules.
• Knowledge of electrical packages and electrical installation requirements.
• Understanding of hazardous area classification.
• Experience with electrical interfaces with mechanical packages.
• Experience reviewing vendor drawings and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and engineering practices.
• Understanding of project cost, schedule, quality, and change management.
