Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Design Engineer with 2–3 years of experience to join our commercial interior projects team. The candidate will be responsible for electrical design, drawings, load calculations, BOQ preparation, site coordination, and ensuring electrical works are executed as per approved designs, specifications, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical layouts and detailed drawings for commercial interior projects.
• Design electrical systems including lighting, power, DBs, UPS, and emergency systems.
• Prepare electrical load calculations, cable sizing, and circuit schedules.
• Prepare BOQ, material quantity estimates, and electrical specifications.
• Coordinate with Interior Designers, Architects, MEP teams, Site Engineers, vendors, and clients.
• Review electrical drawings and ensure designs are practical for site execution.
• Conduct site visits to understand existing electrical conditions and project requirements.
• Coordinate with site teams during electrical installation and resolve design-related issues.
• Check electrical work against approved drawings and project specifications.
• Assist in preparing shop drawings, as-built drawings, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for electrical materials and installations.
• Ensure electrical installations comply with applicable safety standards and project requirements.
• Monitor project progress and support timely completion of electrical works.
• Maintain proper documentation of drawings, revisions, BOQs, and project records.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of commercial electrical design and interior fit-out projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel.
• Knowledge of electrical load calculations, cable sizing, DB schedules, and electrical layouts.
• Understanding of lighting and power distribution systems.
• Knowledge of electrical materials and installation practices.
• Good coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, MEP, and electrical drawings.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Qualification

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in commercial interiors, fit-out, construction, or MEP projects.

Preferred Experience

Experience in commercial office spaces, retail outlets, hotels, restaurants, showrooms, corporate offices, or other interior fit-out projects will be preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month

• Guindy, Chennai, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
