Electrical Design Engineer(MEP)

MEP Team-Position: Senior Engineer /Engineer -Electrical

Job Description:

• Prepare lighting design using Dialux or equivalent lighting simulation software.
• Perform load calculations across various project types to determine electrical demand and sizing.
• Coordinate with other services (HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, architecture) to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Develop single line diagrams (SLDs) for industrial, commercial, and residential electrical systems.
• Plan and size electrical equipment such as transformers, DG sets, panels, and UPS systems.
• Prepare detailed layouts for:
• Lighting and power distribution
• Earthing and earth pit locations
• Cable routing, cable trays, and raceways
• Ensure compliance with IS standards, NBC, NEC, and project-specific requirements.
• Participate in design reviews and support project documentation and BOQ preparation.

Knowledge Required:

• Statutory national and international codes like related Electrical design
• Design / Execution experience in Electrical services
• Knowledge on building information modelling (BIM) will be added advantage
• Knowledge in project management consultancy will be added an advantage

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Dialux is essential.
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (IS, NBC, NEC).
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Qualification: Diploma or B.E or M.E Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Experience:

• 3 to 7 years Electrical design & execution
• Candidates with experience with architect/ developer/project management consultancy/MEPF Design firm / MEP Contracting firm /Building Information Organisation Will be highly preferred
