The role

As an Electrical Designer, you’ll play a key role in our Cavendish Nuclear business. From decommissioning redundant facilities to supporting the Continuous at Sea Deterrent and the development of nuclear power stations, we help clean up the nuclear legacy and shape a future where nuclear energy supports national security, energy resilience, and net zero goals.

Day to day, you’ll

Create electrical design solutions and deliverables across the full lifecycle, from concept to in-service support.

Produce and maintain drawings and documentation to ISO standards, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule targets are met.

Collaborate effectively with design, engineering, and project teams to ensure coordinated and functional designs.

Support design reviews, resolve technical queries, and contribute to innovative solutions for manufacturing and installation challenges.

Assist senior designers with estimates, quality improvements, and test documentation, while staying informed on industry developments.

This role is full-time, 37-hours per week, based in Warrington (Cheshire), and includes hybrid, flexible working arrangements.

Essential experience of the Electrical Designer:
Knowledge of CAD tools

Knowledge of General Engineering Drawing Practice

Qualifications of the Electrical Designer:
ONC/HNC/HND (or equivalent) OR BTEC National Certificate/Diploma (or equivalent) OR appropriate apprenticeship of specialisation

Security Clearance
