Electrical Designer

Spider Electric is currently hiring a Junior Electrical Designer for various projects located in Western Canada. The ideal candidate will be based in Medicine Hat, Alberta.

Spider Electric works on a variety of Commercial, Multi-family, Industrial and Oil & Gas projects throughout Southern Alberta. As a successful applicant, you will have the opportunity to work on full-time, long-term projects with well-established and reputable clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components.
• Support senior engineers in preparing technical documentation, schematics, and reports.
• Conduct research and analysis to improve system efficiency and performance.
• Participate in troubleshooting, maintenance, and quality control activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and electrical codes.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Design from a recognized technical institute or comparable industry experience.
• Revit experience preferred
• Experience in Electrical Design would be preferred
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written in English are mandatory.
• Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code.
• Ability to work independently and in team environments.
