Electrical Designer

Scope Job Description & Skill Requirement:

• Provide electrical design support for custom industrial machinery by producing production-ready electrical documentation and control panel designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop electrical schematics and panel layouts.
• Create wiring diagrams and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Select appropriate electrical hardware.
• Update and maintain legacy electrical documentation.
• Support compliance with UL508A, NFPA 79, and NEC standards.
• Coordinate with Controls Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing teams.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial electrical design experience.
• Strong experience with AutoCAD Electrical.
• Experience with machine control system design.
• Knowledge of PLC I/O, VFDs, servo systems, and safety circuits.
• Experience working in an ETO (Engineer-to-Order) environment.

Preferred Experience

• Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation.
• UL508A and NFPA 79.
• Plastics extrusion or converting industry experience.
• Industrial automation and machine safety experience.
