About the Role

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer – AI Integration to help develop and integrate intelligent, next-generation engineering systems within a highly technical environment.

This role sits at the intersection of electrical engineering, hardware, software, and artificial intelligence. The ideal candidate has a strong electrical/electronics engineering foundation and has expanded their experience into areas such as AI/ML, embedded systems, robotics, automation, computer vision, or intelligent equipment.

This is not a pure software or data science position. We are looking for an engineer who understands physical hardware and electrical systems and can help integrate software and AI technologies into real-world products and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate electrical hardware and software solutions
• Support the integration of AI and machine learning technologies with physical hardware and engineering systems
• Own or support hardware/software integration from initial development through testing and implementation
• Work hands-on with electrical, embedded, automated, robotic, or electromechanical systems
• Develop and troubleshoot complex electrical and system-level issues
• Collaborate across electrical, software, mechanical, automation, and other engineering teams
• Support system testing, validation, commissioning, and continuous improvement
• Help drive technical projects from concept and design through implementation
• Provide technical guidance and solve complex integration challenges

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience
• Strong foundation in electrical/electronics engineering
• Experience integrating hardware and software
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML, computer vision, or other intelligent-system technologies
• Experience working with physical hardware, equipment, embedded systems, or electromechanical systems
• Programming or scripting experience with languages such as Python, C, or C++
• Strong system-level troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines and take ownership of complex technical challenges

Preferred Qualifications

• Robotics or industrial automation experience
• Embedded systems or embedded firmware experience
• Mechatronics/electromechanical experience
• PLC or controls experience, including Siemens or Beckhoff
• SCADA or HMI experience
• Industrial communication protocols such as OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, or similar technologies
• AI-enabled computer vision or inspection-system experience
• Experience with system design, integration, testing, validation, and commissioning
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Engineering, or a related field

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is an Electrical Engineer who has expanded into AI/ML and intelligent systems.

We are especially interested in engineers who have built a career working with real-world hardware and have added software, AI, machine learning, computer vision, robotics, or automation capabilities along the way.

You may come from an electrical engineering, embedded systems, robotics, automation, intelligent equipment, computer vision, or hardware/software integration background.

Traditional PLC/controls experience is valuable, but it is not the primary focus of this position.
