Electrical Engineer - Altium Designer

**Job Title: Electrical Engineer - Altium Designer

Location: Chicago, IL

Permanent/Direct Hire

Pay range: $120,000 - $150,000**

We're seeking a hands-on engineer who can develop schematics from the ground up, collaborate closely with hardware and manufacturing teams, and contribute to the successful delivery of complex electronic products. Candidates with experience designing custom circuit boards and supporting products through production will be highly valued. Responsibilities

• Develop electrical schematics using Altium Designer.
• Perform schematic capture and maintain design documentation.
• Participate in hardware architecture, component selection, and circuit design.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support product development.
• Generate and review engineering documentation, BOMs, and manufacturing packages.
• Support prototype builds, testing, troubleshooting, and design verification.
• Interface with manufacturing and suppliers to resolve hardware-related issues.
• Assist with PCB layout reviews and provide design input to optimize performance and manufacturability.
• Support products through the full lifecycle, from concept through production.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of electrical or electronics design experience.
• Strong proficiency with Altium Designer .
• Experience with schematic design and schematic capture .
• Knowledge of analog and digital circuit design principles.
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug electronic hardware.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
