Electrical Engineer – Cleanroom & M&E Projects

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to coordinate and oversee electrical works for cleanroom and industrial facility projects. This role is responsible for technical coordination, site execution, safety, quality, progress monitoring and cost control.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and review electrical drawings, specifications and technical documents to support project execution.
• Prepare and revise AutoCAD drawings, organise drawing layouts and perform quantity take-offs.
• Prepare material quantity summaries, progress reports and project presentations using Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ensure electrical works comply with applicable codes, technical standards, approved drawings and project requirements.
• Monitor site safety and workmanship, identify issues and follow up on corrective actions.
• Plan and track electrical work schedules, coordinate resources and resolve issues affecting project progress.
• Monitor material usage and work quantities to control costs and minimise wastage.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, consultants, main contractors and subcontractors on technical matters and site arrangements.
• Assign and communicate work tasks to subcontractors, monitor execution and ensure timely completion.
• Accept deployment to project sites according to project requirements.

About you

• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including drawing interpretation, drawing modification, layout preparation and quantity take-offs.
• Sound knowledge of electrical engineering codes, standards and technical requirements, with the ability to apply them to site conditions.
• Strong capability in safety and quality control, schedule management and cost control.
• Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams, external project management teams and subcontractors.
• Responsible, resilient and team-oriented, with strong commitment to completing assigned work.
• Willing to travel and accept project deployment arrangements.
• Holders of a Constructor qualification (建造师证书) will have an added advantage.
• Proficiency in spoken Mandarin is required for technical and management coordination with Mandarin-speaking teams and China headquarters.
