Electrical Engineer (Client, 5-day, Facility & Equipment)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs for electrical systems (HV/MV/LV distribution, switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators, MCCs, VFDs, lighting, earthing systems, etc.).
• Perform and oversee electrical troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and repair of facility and production equipment to minimize downtime.
• Conduct regular inspections, thermal imaging, partial discharge testing, insulation resistance tests, and other condition-monitoring activities.
• Manage electrical asset lifecycle: maintain asset register, criticality ranking, spare parts strategy, and obsolescence planning.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with local regulations, company EHS standards, and relevant codes (e.g., IEC, IEEE, local electrical ordinances).
• Review and approve electrical method statements, risk assessments, and permits-to-work for both internal teams and contractors.
• Support facility upgrades, equipment modifications, and minor capital projects from a maintenance and reliability perspective (not pure design).
• Coordinate with operations, mechanical, instrumentation, and external service providers to schedule maintenance activities with minimal impact on production.
• Maintain accurate documentation: single-line diagrams, as-built drawings, maintenance records, test reports, and change history.
• Participate in incident investigations related to electrical systems and drive corrective/preventive actions.
• Mentor technicians and junior engineers on electrical safety and best maintenance practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in facility / plant electrical maintenance (industrial, manufacturing, data center, commercial building, or similar client-side environment preferred).
• Strong practical knowledge of low and medium voltage systems, power distribution, and industrial electrical equipment.
• Experience with preventive/predictive maintenance techniques and CMMS systems (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo, or similar).
• Familiarity with electrical safety standards, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and arc-flash hazard analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and schematics.
• Good communication skills in both Chinese and English (written and spoken).
