Electrical Engineer

Job Summary

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems in construction projects. This includes power distribution, lighting, electrical equipment, fire alarm, and other electrical systems, ensuring all works comply with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and project specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for residential, commercial, or industrial projects
• Prepare detailed electrical drawings, layouts, schematics, and specifications
• Review and interpret electrical plans, blueprints, and technical documents
• Supervise and monitor the installation of electrical systems and equipment on-site
• Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, safety standards, and applicable regulations
• Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems
• Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, mechanical engineers, and other project stakeholders
• Prepare material take-offs and estimate materials, labor costs, and project timelines
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during construction and after installation
• Monitor the quality and progress of electrical works to ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications
• Prepare reports, documentation, progress updates, and other project-related documents
• Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and safety of electrical systems
• Assist in the evaluation and implementation of electrical system improvements and modifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• With or without Professional License
• Proven experience in electrical design, installation, and construction works
• Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations
• Proficient in AutoCAD and other electrical engineering/design software
• Familiarity with electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, and related installations
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication, coordination, and project management skills
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with project teams
