Electrical Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated BMS Testing & Commissioning Engineer to join our growing project execution team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the on-site startup, functional testing, integration, and final handover of advanced Building Management Systems (BMS). This position offers a direct opportunity to work on critical infrastructure projects, including high-tier Data Centres and smart commercial complexes across Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities:

·         System Testing: Execute full on-site testing, point-to-point loop checking, and operational sequencing for controllers, sensors and actuators.

·         Network Integration: Perform system integration of third-party MEP subsystems using industry-standard protocols such as BACnet, Mudbus, and MQTT.

·         HVAC Validation: Validate and fine-tune HVAC control logic, sequences of operation (SOO), and safety interlocks for chillers, AHUs, FCUs, and cooling towers.

·         Documentation: Prepare comprehensive engineering documentations, including Method Statements, Inspection Test Plans (ITP), commissioning logs, and redline drawings.

·         Acceptance Testing: Lead Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) alongside clients, consultants, and project stakeholders to secure sign-off.

·         Troubleshooting: Diagnose complex hardware, network connectivity, and software logic loops under strict project timelines.

Requirements & Qualifications

·         Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical, electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Building Services Engineering.

·         Experience: Minimum 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in testing and commissioning BMS or building automation platforms.

·         Technical Know-how: Proficient with EPMS/BMS and SCADA systems (eg: Schneider EcoStruxure, Siemens Desigo, Honeywell, Johnson controls, or Niagara/Tridium)

·         Site Compliance: Valid CIDB Green Card Holder with a solid ability to interpret mechanical/electrical schemas and control architectures.

·         Key Asset: Direct technical exposure to mission-critical infrastructure project like Data Centres is a significant advantage.

·         Soft Skills: strong analytical problem-solving skills, highly collaborative, and capable of managing tight engineering schedules.
