Electrical Engineer

If you're the type of engineer who enjoys getting hands-on with automation, solving technical problems, and seeing your designs come to life, this is a role worth exploring.

You'll be joining one of New Zealand's most respected specialist engineering businesses, designing and supporting advanced control systems used on large-scale equipment throughout New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific.

This isn't a role where you'll spend your days making minor PLC tweaks. You'll own projects from concept through commissioning, troubleshoot real-world engineering challenges, contribute to new product development, and work alongside a highly capable engineering team.

What you'll be doing

• Designing, developing and implementing advanced control systems
• Diagnosing, troubleshooting and optimising electrical and automation systems
• Supporting new product development and continuous improvement initiatives
• Working across engineering, production and service teams to deliver quality outcomes
• Conducting factory acceptance testing and providing technical support during commissioning

We're looking for someone who has

• 8+ years' experience in control systems, automation, electrical engineering or have worked as an industrial electrician
• Strong electrical design capability using EPLAN, AutoCAD or similar platforms, experience in Intelligate and IntelliDock Systems will be an advantage
• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience delivering engineering projects from concept through completion
• A practical mindset and the ability to communicate with both technical and operational stakeholders
