Electrical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1. Design & Engineering Excellence

• Draft, update, and manage Single Line Diagrams (SLD), shop drawings, and installation plans using AutoCAD.
• Design and oversee wire routing, cable tray layouts, and conduit plans.
• Develop and maintain meticulous As-Built documentation from project commencement to completion.

2. Proactive Site Leadership & Coordination

• Conduct site visits to verify dimensions and assess existing M&E conditions to ensure design feasibility.
• Supervise subcontractors directly, ensuring all electrical installations meet high technical standards and project specifications.
• Take ownership of daily site progress: identify bottlenecks, report to the Project Lead, and ensure site actions are resolved promptly.
• Represent the team in project meetings and manage the execution of recorded action items.

3. Quality Control & Regulatory Compliance

• Inspect delivered materials against approved specifications to prevent installation errors.
• Strictly monitor installation quality to ensure 100% compliance with technical drawings.
• Ensure all works adhere to Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST), TNB, and DOSH regulations.
• Participate hands-on in Testing & Commissioning (T&C) activities to ensure system integrity.

4. Procurement & Administrative Management

• Source and evaluate qualified electrical subcontractors and manage the procurement of electrical materials.
• Liaise with authorities and relevant agencies for permit or license applications.
• Compile comprehensive project documentation, including testing reports, checklists, and final handover manuals.

Requirements

• Education: Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Technical: Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and the ability to interpret complex technical drawings.
• Mindset: Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. We value proactive, logical, and "common sense" thinkers.
• Team Collaboration: Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively in Malay and English with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Resilience: Ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines, and maintain teamwork during high-intensity project phases.
• Flexibility: Willing to travel to various project sites and work overtime or weekends as required by project milestones.
• Experience: 2 - 5 years
