Electrical Engineer

Responsible for providing technical expertise in the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment across oil & gas facilities. Ensures electrical safety, reliability, and compliance with international codes and standards to support uninterrupted plant and field operations.

Provide technical leadership and support for electrical systems including generators, transformers, switchgear, motors, VFDs, UPS systems, and power distribution networks within oil & gas facilities. Develop, review, and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies for electrical equipment to maximize reliability and minimize downtime. Lead root cause failure analysis (RCFA) for critical electrical equipment failures and recommend corrective/preventive actions. Conduct electrical integrity assessments, protection coordination studies, load flow analysis, and arc flash hazard studies Support turnaround/shutdown planning, scope development, execution, and quality control for electrical work packages. Monitor equipment performance using condition monitoring techniques (thermography, insulation resistance testing, partial discharge analysis) and recommend corrective actions Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of earthing, lightning protection, and cathodic protection systems across facilities. Ensure all electrical work is carried out in compliance with HSE policies, permit-to-work systems, lockout-tagout (LOTO), and process safety management (PSM) requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred)
• strong knowledge of power generation, distribution, HV/LV/MV systems, motors, transformers, switchgear, and hazardous area classifications
