- Review vendor drawings, technical submissions, equipment specifications, material documentation, and engineering reports.
- Support electrical installation, upgrades, modifications, expansions, refurbishment, and commissioning projects.
- Conduct electrical safety assessments, risk evaluations, technical inspections, and engineering reviews.
- Ensure electrical installations comply with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor electrical system performance, energy consumption, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Support energy-efficiency, renewable-energy, energy-storage, and power-optimization initiatives.
- Prepare technical reports, inspection records, calculations, test results, maintenance documentation, and engineering recommendations.
- Investigate electrical incidents, defects, failures, and non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
- Support procurement activities by reviewing technical specifications, supplier proposals, equipment selections, and quotations.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, technicians, consultants, project managers, and clients.
- Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, site inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Maintain accurate engineering drawings, records, specifications, revisions, and change-control documentation.
- Use CAD, BIM, electrical simulation software, automation systems, monitoring platforms, and data-analysis tools.
- Explore smart-grid technologies, IoT monitoring, automation, AI-assisted engineering, and digital electrical systems where appropriate.
- Provide technical guidance to technicians, contractors, maintenance teams, and other engineering personnel.
- Identify opportunities to improve electrical-system reliability, safety, efficiency, maintainability, and cost effectiveness.
- Ensure engineering activities are delivered according to quality, safety, schedule, and technical requirements.
- Continuously improve electrical engineering processes, system performance, operational reliability, and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, power systems, electrical machines, control systems, protection systems, and electrical equipment.
- Knowledge of power distribution, transformers, switchgear, generators, motors, cables, protection devices, and electrical installations.
