Our client is a well-established Western Australian contractor supporting mining and mineral processing projects across the resources sector. Operating across major fixed plant and processing facilities, the business takes a hands-on approach to project delivery.

The Opportunity

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with construction and site teams, reviewing engineering documentation, providing practical technical support, and helping drive successful project outcomes from design through to commissioning.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a growing project delivery team supporting mining and mineral processing operations across Western Australia.

This is a practical, hands-on engineering role working across major processing plant and fixed plant infrastructure projects. The position combines office-based engineering support with site-based involvement during construction, commissioning and project delivery phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and validate engineering designs and documentation
• Provide technical support throughout construction and commissioning activities
• Work closely with project managers, site teams and contractors
• Assist with electrical system installation, testing and troubleshooting
• Ensure technical compliance, safety and quality standards are achieved
• Support project delivery across a range of mining and mineral processing facilities

Experience That Will Help You Succeed 

You will ideally bring experience from mining, mineral processing, resources, or heavy industrial operations, with exposure to fixed plant electrical systems and project environments. Experience gained through plant construction, installation, commissioning, maintenance, refurbishment, or process plant upgrade projects will be highly regarded.

Examples of relevant experience include:

• Fixed plant electrical infrastructure and industrial power systems
• High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) power distribution systems
• Motor control centres (MCCs), switchrooms, switchgear and protection systems
• Variable speed drives (VSDs), motors and associated process plant equipment
• Instrumentation, control systems, PLCs and SCADA environments
• Gold processing plants, copper and nickel concentrators, or iron ore processing facilities
• Electrical installation, refurbishment and brownfield upgrade projects
• Electrical design reviews, technical troubleshooting and engineering support
• Site-based construction support, commissioning and operational readiness activities

About You

• Practical site-based experience
• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of relevant engineering experience
• Strong background in mining, mineral processing or heavy industry
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Confident working with site personnel, contractors and project stakeholders
• Willingness to travel and work on mine sites across Australia

• Permanent full-time position
• Perth-based role with regular site involvement
• Salary package of $120,000 - $140,000 plus superannuation
• Additional site allowances and Salary sacrifice options available
• Relocation assistance of up to $15,000 for eligible interstate candidates
