Electrical Engineer

Position: Electric Maintenance Engineer

Reports To: Electrical Manager / Plant Head

Experience: 5 to 10 Years

Industry Preference: AAC Blocks / Cement / Heavy Manufacturing / Process Industry

Job Summary: Assist in managing the electrical maintenance and operations of the AAC Block plant to ensure uninterrupted production, reliable power supply, safe operations, and minimum equipment downtime. The role involves supervising electricians, executing preventive and breakdown maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation, operation, testing, and maintenance of HT/LT systems, transformers, motors, MCC panels, PLCs, VFDs, and control panels.
• Supervise electricians and technicians during routine, preventive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and support root cause analysis to minimize production downtime.
• Ensure timely execution of preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate with Production and Mechanical teams during planned shutdowns and emergency repairs.
• Monitor power consumption and recommend energy-saving initiatives.
• Maintain electrical maintenance records, inspection reports, and equipment history.
• Support commissioning of new electrical equipment and plant modifications.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, statutory regulations, and Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Assist in maintaining substations, DG sets, compressors, and other utility systems.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• 510 years of experience in AAC Blocks, Cement, Steel, RMC, Power, or other heavy manufacturing industries.
• Good knowledge of HT/LT systems, PLCs, VFDs, motors, transformers, MCC panels, and industrial automation.
• Hands-on experience in preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and team supervision skills.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and industrial maintenance practices.
