About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join Jarash Radiance Sdn Bhd in Miri, Sarawak. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in the design, development, and maintenance of electrical and electronic systems across our operations. As an Electrical Engineer, you will contribute to innovative projects and ensure the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and reliability in all electrical installations and systems. Key responsibilities

1. Design and develop electrical systems, circuits, and components in accordance with project specifications and industry standards
2. Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for electrical installations and infrastructure projects
3. Prepare detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation using CAD software and other design tools
4. Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment
5. Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project objectives are met
7. Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards throughout all project phases
8. Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks to verify adherence to design specifications
9. Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technical staff
10. Monitor project budgets and timelines whilst maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional qualification
2. Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in electrical engineering design, installation, or maintenance
3. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, control systems, and electronic components
4. Proficiency with electrical design software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar CAD/CAM tools
5. Solid understanding of electrical codes and safety standards applicable to your region and industry sector
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills with the capacity to identify technical issues and implement effective solutions
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
8. Professional certification or licence as an Electrical Engineer (preferred but not essential)
9. Experience with project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
10. A commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry advancements
