What they need
- Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Good knowledge of electrical wiring systems, electrical components, and their applications.
- Ability to read, interpret, and prepare electrical drawings, schematic diagrams, and wiring diagrams.
- Ability to prepare Electrical Bills of Materials (BoM), electrical layouts, and associated documentation in accordance with customer specifications and project requirements.
- Capability to coordinate with customer representatives and inspecting agencies to address electrical-related queries, inspections, and compliance requirements.
- Basic knowledge of AC power distribution systems, control circuits, earthing systems, cable sizing, routing, and termination practices.
- Good troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and problem-solving skills related to electrical systems and installations.
- Ability to work effectively on the shop floor and coordinate with production, quality, procurement, and project teams to ensure smooth execution of activities.
- Understanding of electrical safety practices, relevant standards, and installation procedures.
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC requirements, Defence shelter electrical systems, electrical components, and their integration/installation will be an added advantage.
- Ensure proper documentation, record maintenance, and adherence to project schedules and quality requirements.
- Ability to support testing, commissioning, and inspection activities of electrical systems.
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience in shelter integration, electrical panel wiring, control systems, or industrial electrical installations.
- Familiarity with Defence project requirements and customer inspection procedures.
- Knowledge of cable management, grounding systems, and electrical equipment installation practices.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent electrical design software will be an added advantage.
