Prime Workforce is recruiting an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a well-established food manufacturing business in London.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on maintaining, servicing and supporting electrical equipment across a busy manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play an important role in keeping equipment operating safely and reliably while supporting high standards of production, safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on manufacturing equipment
• Diagnose electrical faults and complete repairs efficiently
• Service and maintain electrical systems, machinery and associated equipment
• Support preventative maintenance activities to minimise equipment downtime
• Ensure all work complies with electrical safety standards and site procedures
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records where required
• Work closely with the wider engineering and production teams
• Support continuous improvement of equipment reliability and site performance
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and quality within a food manufacturing environment

Essential Requirements

• Electrical Engineering qualification, such as City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent
• 18th Edition qualification – mandatory
• Practical experience maintaining and repairing electrical equipment
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Good understanding of electrical health and safety requirements
• Ability to work effectively within a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Reliable, practical and able to work independently when required
• Must have the right to work in the UK

Desirable

Experience within food manufacturing, FMCG or another fast-paced production environment would be advantageous.

Salary

£45,000 per annum
