Electrical Engineer

About the role

Design and develop rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems. You will prepare preliminary and detailed designs, perform system sizing based on client requirements, available area, electrical load, and energy consumption, and prepare and review single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, cable routing, and basic electrical drawings.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare preliminary and detailed designs for rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems
• Perform basic solar PV system sizing based on client requirements, available area, electrical load, and energy consumption
• Prepare and review single-line diagrams (SLDs), equipment layouts, cable routing, and basic electrical drawings
• Assist in determining appropriate PV modules, inverters, transformers, switchgear, cables, protection devices, and other system components
• Conduct basic electrical calculations including load and energy calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop, short-circuit considerations, protection and equipment ratings, transformer sizing, inverter sizing, and PV system capacity
• Assist in evaluating solar generation estimates and system performance
• Use applicable engineering standards, manufacturer requirements, and local electrical requirements in preparing designs

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Licensed Engineer (preferred but not required)
• At least 2 years of relevant engineering experience
• Experience in solar PV systems, electrical design, MEPF engineering, electrical estimation, construction, renewable energy, or power systems
• Experience in solar PV systems, electrical installation, or EPC projects is an advantage
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a service vehicle (manual and/or automatic)
• Willing to travel frequently and be assigned to project sites
